On display are 112 sketches, featuring typical images of Vietnam, from the buffaloes and bamboo trees to the gate of the Hung Kings Temple and Hanoi’s Flag Tower.
The exhibition also displays the originals of more than 100 pencil and colour drawings of the national emblem.
Some 15 sketches were submitted to the Government in October 1954 for consideration, and President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree on January 14, 1956 to publicise the official emblem of Vietnam.

During a meeting with a UNESCO delegation led by Jonathan Baker, Chief Representative of UNESCO in Vietnam, Huan highlighted the crucial role that UNESCO has played in the socio-economic development of Ninh Binh Province. He emphasized that since Trang An complex received UNESCO recognition in 2014, it has contributed to local economic restructuring and the development of tourism. That set a new personal record for Tung, who has won twice as an Asian junior champion and is still young enough to lift in the juniors at 19. His teammate Ngo Son Dinh was second on 117-143-260 and earned the silver medal of the men’s 55-kilogram event of the 2023 Asian Weightlifting Championships, which is taking place in South Korea’s South Gyeongsang Province from May 5 to 13. This screenshot shows Vietnamese 18-year-old Do Tu Tung in action in the men’s 55-kilogram category at the 2023 Asian Weightlifting Championships in South Korea, May 5, 2023.
