Missosology picks Vietnamese contestant among Top 10 at Miss Charm 2023

According to their rankings, Huyen is predicted to come in at 10th in the overall list. Elsewhere, Juliana Habib Lorduy of Colombia was selected as the favourite to be crowned the overall winner of the beauty contest, while Valentina Campion Capois of the Dominican Republic and Anna Baksheeva of Russia were picked for the first and second runner-up titles, respectively. Rounding off the list of the top 15 contestants are the beauties from Venezuela, the Philippines, South Africa, Chile, Ukraine, Poland, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Cambodia, and Argentina. The first ever Miss Charm international beauty contest is currently underway in Ho Chi Minh City from February 3 to February 17. The pageant attracts the participation of 38 contestants from across the world, with the ultimate winner set to receive a cash prize of US$100,000. Thousands of visitors flock to Lim Festival in northern Vietnam

The event is held annually in Bac Ninh’s Tien Du District, about 30km from downtown Hanoi, as a cultural spotlight of the province and one of the largest spring festivals in northern Vietnam on the 13th day of the first Lunar month (February 3 this year). Concert marking 150th birthday of Rachmaninov to open in Hanoi

The event will be performed by artists of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji. Famous musical pieces at the concert include the violin concerto in D minor, Op.47 of Jean Sibelius, originally composed in 1904 and revised in 1905 and Symphony No.2 in E minor Op.27 of Sergei Rachmaninov. Rachmaninov was born on April 1, 1873 in Novgorod, Russia, into a musical family. He took up the piano at the age of 4. He studied with Anton Arensky and Sergei Taneyev at the Moscow Conservatory and graduated in 1892.
