After the welcoming ceremony, the two PM hold talks and witness the signing of a number of cooperation documents between the two countries’ ministries and sectors.
Vietnam and Luxembourg established diplomatic relations on November 15, 1973, and over the past five decades, bilateral relations have developed positively. In the photo, the two PMs review pictures highlighting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Luxembourg.
Economic-trade-investment cooperation is an important pillar in bilateral relations. Two-way trade turnover between the two countries has increased over the years, from US$96 million in 2019 to US$181.6 million in 20021 and US$187.1 million in 2022.
The two sides have maintained regular reciprocal visit exchanges to outline orientation for future cooperation.
During their talks, Chinh and Bettel examine ways to strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries and expand bilateral cooperation to new fields.
As of March 2023, Luxembourg had invested in 64 projects worth US$2.6 billion in Vietnam, ranking third among 24 EU countries and 17th out of 139 foreign investors in the country.
There is ample room for the two countries to ramp up bilateral cooperation, especially in technology and renewable energy, Both sides are to sign a number of cooperation documents after the talks.

During a meeting with a UNESCO delegation led by Jonathan Baker, Chief Representative of UNESCO in Vietnam, Huan highlighted the crucial role that UNESCO has played in the socio-economic development of Ninh Binh Province.
