Cultural Exchange Program to Connect the Peoples of Vietnam – Japan
Speaking at the meeting, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Doan Xuan Hung, who is also former Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan for the 2011-2015 term, Vice President of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association welcomed the members of the Organizing Committee to Vietnam.
According to the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association, this exchange program is one of the special activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung also expressed his hope that through the program, cultural features of the two countries will be widely introduced to the public, thereby contributing to broadening the understanding and bond of the people of the two countries.

According to Bui Khac Son, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association, the celebration of 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations is an opportunity to share experiences and strengthen co-operation.
At the same time, two sides can evaluate and propose cooperation initiatives in various fields such as economy, education, culture, etc., contributing to deepening Vietnam-Japan relationship.
Representative of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam – Japan Cultural Exchange Program Tajima Miwa said that the artists spent a lot of time and effort in preparation for the event. She expressed her hope that the efforts of the artists and the organizers will make the program a success, promote cultural exchanges between the two countries, and make practical contributions to promoting the Vietnam-Japan relationship.

According to Former Secretary General of the Japanese Cabinet Takeo, the Vietnam – Japan Cultural Exchange program marks the 50-year journey of good relations between the two countries. “I hope that cultural and economic cooperation between the two sides will grow stronger and stronger. I hope the people of the two countries build a close relationship. Vietnam will provide human resources to Japan and Japan will also provide scientific and technical assistance to Vietnam,” said Takeo.

The Cultural Exchange Program will be held on March 25 at the Hanoi Opera House. This is an opportunity to introduce to the audience a colorful picture of two cultures Vietnam – Japan. In the event, the audience can enjoy special performances of ao dai, kimono, calligraphy exhibition, dance art, ethnic music, etc.
The delegates agreed that through cultural exchanges, the two peoples will gain more understanding, sharing and cohesion, contributing to affirming and consolidating the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
