Vietnamese film distributor to be honoured at CineAsia Awards 2022
“For over 20 years, Ms. Huong has established herself as a leader in the media and entertainment industry. We cannot think of a more deserving recipient for this year’s award,” stated Andrew Sunshine, president of Film Expo Group, which manages CineAsia.
The award marks the second time that Vietnamese film distributor Thanh Huong has been honoured with the title since 2019.
Huong currently holds the position of executive chairwoman of Galaxy Studio, one of the leading private cinema and distribution businesses in Vietnam. In addition, she is also vice chairwoman of Galaxy Entertainment & Education (GEE) which is in the process of implementing strategic planning for long-term development, as well as improving its own financial state, operations, and facilities.
During the course of her career she has achieved plenty of great accomplishments, including doubling revenue during the 2012 to 2018 period and increasing the number of employees for the company by more than 1,000 across the country. Other notable achievements include contributing to the success of several movies such as Nu Hon Than Chet, Qua Tim Mau, Hoa Vang Tren Co Xanh and most recently Mat Biec, Bo Gia, and Em Va Trinh.
GEE is a leading integrated media and entertainment company based in the nation whose products and services bring wholesomeness and happiness to the lives of their audiences, with GEE possessing several media platforms on which brands can reach consumers.
Getting underway in Bangkok, Thailand, from December 5 to December 8, CineAsia 2022 featured product presentations and screenings of major films, exclusive sponsored events, and seminars relating to current and future trends occurring in the film industry.
