November is Significant for Vietnam-DPRK's Relations

64 years ago, DPRK’s President Kim Il Sung paid an official visit to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam from November 28 to December 2, 1958. During the three rounds of talks with Vietnam’s President Ho Chi Minh, Kim Il Sung said that the two countries want to see each other fare well.

President Kim Il Sung paid another visit to Vietnam from November 9 to 16, 1964. Kim Il Sung said that DPRK should render active assistance to the struggle of the Vietnamese people, both morally and materially.

November is cherished as the month of endearment in the hearts of the two peoples. 55 years ago, in November 1966, the pilots of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) were in the front of Vietnam, defending the country’s sky.

The relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam, which were nurtured by the noble sense of revolutionary obligations and the personal relations between the two countries’ respected leaders, Kim Il Sung and Ho Chi Minh, have developed onto a higher stage as comradely and strategic relations thanks to a goodwill visit to Vietnam by Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of Worker’s Party of Korea and President of State Affairs of the DPRK in March, 2019.

The friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Vietnam will be developed together with raging flow of the River Taedong in Pyongyang and the River Hong in Hanoi.

Xuan Nghi Sets Off For Miss Teen International 2023 in Cambodia

The 19-year-old girl from Dong Nai province is traveling with 10 pieces of luggage, including costumes and gifts for international contestants and friends. Xuan Nghi, a student at Hong Bang International University in Ho Chi Minh City, won the local beauty contest Nét đẹp Thiếu nữ Việt (Vietnamese Women’s Beauty) in December 2022. She has participated in many fashion shows in Vietnam and has been involved in charity activities throughout the country. Miss Teen International 2023 will take place in Cambodia from June 16 to 25. The Vietnamese girl will compete against dozens of other contestants aged 14-19 in the beauty pageant. Last year, Ngo Ngoc Gia Han, a 16-year-old girl from Ho Chi Minh City, was crowned Miss Teen International during the pageant’s grand finale in India on July 30. Vietnam discusses co-hosting 2034 FIFA World Cup

The idea of a combined ASEAN bid has been floating around since 2011. After much discussion, leaders of ASEAN countries and football officials from the ASEAN Football Federation have agreed to bid for co-hosting the 2034 edition of the tournament. In 2017, ASEAN held talks on launching the joint effort with FIFA President Gianni Infantino during his visit to Myanmar. In January that year, FIFA confirmed the 2026 World Cup would have 48 finalist teams, expanded from 32, so hosting the tourney in multiple countries was seen as a logical way to accommodate the increase. In June 2019, Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha announced that all 10 nations of ASEAN had agreed to appeal for the co-hosting of the 2034 World Cup. However, in October 2019, only five ASEAN countries officially proposed co-hosting the 2034 competition, with Thailand leading the initiative.
